S-Immo AG from Vienna snaps up mixed-use residential and retail building in Leipzig

The Austrian S-Immo AG has bought a mixed-use residential and retail property in the major city of Leipzig in Saxony.

The seller, an unnamed private investor from Munich, had retained Winters & Hirsch to market the property as the sole agent.

The listed corner property in Leipzig’s Reudnitz-Thonberg area was built circa 1880 and underwent extensive refurbishment in 1994. The address is Volckmarstraße 1 / Harnackstraße.

The building comprises 18 flats and one commercial unit on the ground floor.

A city with around 582,000 residents, Leipzig is a location for automobile manufacturing. BMW and Porsche maintain facilities just north of Leipzig. Also, the city has long been a trade, research and higher education centre. The rising population of Leipzig benefits from excellent infrastructure and high quality of living.

Winters & Hirsch had been retained by the seller to market the property as a sole agent and also advised the buyer on the transaction. Luther Rechtsanwälte has advised the seller on legal matters.

The notarisation of the purchase contract was performed by Doreen König, notary public.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase contract.
